January 2022 - March 2022

Unity, Blender, Procreate

With my first Unity project, I tell the story of a girl who gets abducted by time-travelling aliens on a bus.

The Research Facility

I set the story in downtown Ottawa. Several elements are heavily inspired by OC Transpo, my own high school, and Ottawa neighbourhoods.

The Process: the Outline and Pitch

The Subject:

We were given a prompt to develop a short story using Unity and Blender. The story had to explore the year 2122 in any way we wanted to. I chose to take the alien route: I told the story of a girl named Orla, who accidentally got abducted by a time-travelling. The alien took her to the year 2122. People had long disappeared and now, spider-like aliens roamed over earth!

The Pitch:

The Process: Prototyping + Storyboard

The Task:

With our approved pitches, we now had to create a diorama of our story, develop a storyboard, and create a simple prototype of the story we wanted to tell with our diorama. This was meant to be a quick process.

The Diorama:

The Storyboard:

The Imagined Settings: in 360
